Hi John, Thank you so much for the repair and upgrade you’ve carried out on my treasured SP14. It’s always been a great sounding pre-amp, although at 25 years plus probably not at it’s very best. However the upgrade work you have done has improved it way beyond my expectations.
With LP as my main source the ability to produce a stable, wide, & deep image is frankly astonishing. The SP14 has always been good at this but is definitely now moved to a new level. If you couldn’t see them you wouldn’t know where the speakers are.
As I mentioned before the amp is 25 plus years old so I also appreciate the effort John put in ferreting out technical details from the US in order to resolve the original issue with the mute circuit timer.
