The Power Supply Caps in this Player were found to be in poor condition and John replaced them with Mundorfs.
Before I bought this player, I read the review by Roy Gregory who gave it the thumbs up. However, his only significant criticism related to a softness in the bass when compared to the very best.
Now I know why – the original Power Supply Caps were not as good as they could have been. The Bass control and definition is now exemplary.
Forget about reclocking on Micromega’s and go for new Power Supply Caps instead.
I am now very close to musical heaven.
