upgrade

after having my xa2 amplifier upgraded with excellent results, i let john work his magic on my matching x ray cd player. once again i calculated that the cost of the upgrade plus the value of my player 2nd hand would not buy me a better new machine hence the upgrade option was a no brainer. upon return of my machine i instantly noticed that the cd tray was a lot smoother and quieter when loading a disk. then after just a few bars of music the sound improvement hit me…….
i was expecting an improvement but the scale of the improvement is quite shocking ! instantly (compared to my pre tuned unit) the treble is a lot clearer and less splashy, vocals now have much better separation and sound much more lifelike and the bass output is a lot more tuneful. overall my system now sounds much more musical and less artificial. overall its been great dealing with john, his service is excellent. now i wonder if he does anything to speakers………
